Project Description
Hanger Lane, Ealing
One of our favourite projects to date, Cecelia House was completed on 31st October 2023, coming in 4 weeks early on our original planned date and just under budget after making some savings for our client.
Having been rented out through the local council for many, many years the building had come to the end of its shelf life and urgently needed renovating. Through our in-house team we obtained planning permission for new roof lights to be installed and designed a whole new layout for all three floors of the building, with over 90% being reconfigured.
We created 29 bedsits with two communal kitchens, five wash-rooms and three toilets. Everything was stripped back to brick, upgraded thermally/acoustically, numerous steels/lintels installed throughout, new commercial pluming/heating system commissioned, complete re-wire and then renovated to a very high standard with every element meticulously implemented.
Externally we rendered the rear of the building to give it a vibrant fresh new look along with landscaping parts of the rear garden. We replaced two roofs on the ground floor rear, repaired various parts of the main roof and then replaced all of the old guttering, downpipes and soil stacks.
Our client is extremely pleased with the end result, having substantially increased the value of the building/rental income and what we would consider to be one of the best temporary accommodation buildings in West London.
